Support Rachel & Her Kids After Impaired Driving Crash

Our names are Nicole and Sasha. Our friend and sister Rachel received an unimaginable call on December 1 that her children, 7 and 3, had been in a horrific car crash while in the vehicle with an impaired driver. I don’t believe this needs clarification, but Rachel did not know her children were being driven by an impaired individual. The vehicle went off the road and rolled where it landed in a ditch on its roof.

It is a heartbreaking call that no mother should ever have to receive.

A passerby was able to assist her oldest child and keep him warm in their vehicle until help arrived while her youngest child had to be extricated from the vehicle.

Her oldest child has minor injuries and her youngest was airlifted via ORNGE to a treatment facility in Toronto where he is receiving medical care for his injuries.
