On July 27th 2024, Rachel Genthner of Waldoboro was arrested and now faces daunting legal fees.

A transexual lesbian woman herself, Rachel has been a long and outspoken advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community. Now she is facing the legal and carceral system, and needs her community to rally around her. Rachel had to come up with $1,600 in bail to avoid spending the next month or more in jail, and took an additional $3,000 loan to cover attorney fees. We are asking for an additional $2,400 to cover other potential fees and quality of life during this time. Please help Rachel to keep fighting and not drown in legal debt.
