Rachael and I first met in 2018 when our boys started kindergarten together. What began as a friendship between our sons quickly grew into a bond between our families. Over the years, our boys have become each other's brothers, and we've always known they were safe and loved when together. Through our children, I gained a true friend in Rachael.

Just two days ago, Rachael's world was turned upside down when her son Leo was diagnosed with brain cancer. As a single mother to Leo and his five-year-old brother Kayson, Rachael now faces the unimaginable challenge of caring for her son through treatment, while also managing the needs of her younger child. She will need to travel for Leo's medical care, which means extra expenses for travel, food, and housing, on top of mounting medical bills.
