As most of you already know, Krystof Kage passed away February 1 in a tragic car accident at the age of 53. Krystof was a larger-than-life personality, a fearless leader, and a talented actor and director who touched the lives of countless people in the theatre community over the last 30 years. His loss leaves a void that cannot be filled, not only for Rachael but for everyone who knew and loved him.
On top of this unimaginable loss, his wife Rachael, also a pillar of the Tallahassee theatre community for decades, is facing her own serious health challenges. She has had lifelong health issues leading to a dual kidney/pancreas transplant a few years ago, which requires extensive ongoing medical care. The sudden loss of Krystof has placed an enormous emotional and financial burden on her at a time when she needs support the most.
We are raising funds to help cover Krystof's final expenses, including a memorial to honor his incredible life and legacy, which will take place March 7 from 4-6 pm at Turner Auditorium, 444 Appleyard Dr, Tallahassee, FL 32304. Any additional support will go directly toward helping Rachael manage her medical care in the coming months. If you are able, please consider donating or sharing this fundraiser. Rachael is beloved by the theatre community, and I know that together we can help her through this difficult time. Your kindness and generosity will make a world of difference.
