We’re Raaga, UC Riverside’s South Asian fusion a cappella team, a group of students united by our love for music, culture, and community. Over the past year, we’ve dedicated countless hours to arranging music, choreographing, rehearsing late into the night, and supporting one another to create a set we’re truly proud of. Last season, our hard work paid off when we competed and received the award for Best South Asian Soloist, an experience that inspired us to grow both musically and as a team.

This year, we’re excited to return to the competition stage with a brand-new set inspired by the Mahabharata, blending storytelling, tradition, and modern a cappella in a way that reflects who we are. While this journey means the world to us, competing comes with significant costs. Registration fees, travel, lodging, costumes, and other essentials add up quickly, especially as college students balancing tuition and daily expenses. For many of our members and their families, covering these costs alone is difficult, and we want to ensure that finances don’t prevent anyone from participating.

We’re reaching out to our family, friends, and community for support so we can continue this journey together and represent UC Riverside on a larger stage. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will directly help cover competition and travel expenses, allowing every member of Raaga to be part of this experience.
