Support our Heroes

My husband and I operate two independent restaurants in Indianapolis, Indiana,  Lockerbie Pub and The Great Divide.  A few weeks ago, due to the Covid 19 outbreak, we closed our restaurants to the public, sent our employees home and donated our perishable items.

We struggled watching the news, feeling helpless as so many people were becoming ill and dying.  We  knew it was just a matter of time before our community, our hospitals were  also overwhelmed as the virus continued to spread. 

There must be a better way we can help out community other than to simply close our doors-

Our grassroots efforts began, we had conversations with our family, friends, and those working directly in the path of Covid 19, doctors and nurses, our front liners.

We realized food is not easy for doctors and nurses to get working 12-16 hour shifts. They are overwhelmed, overworked, exhausted and simply not eating.

Restaurants are closed, even if opened, the front liners are trying there best to limit additional contact to the outside as they do everything possible to not spread the virus.

We found our way to help-

We started the effort by calling hospitals offering to provide meals and setting up food deliveries.
We wanted to show our support and appreciation to the doctors and nurses on the frontline..
