Support Quinn's Courageous Recovery Journey

Donation protected
In Early November, Christy & Shawn received devastating news about their son Quinn: he was battling a severe eating disorder that had become life-threatening. His weight had dropped to a dangerously low level, and he was beginning to show signs of organ dysfunction. Quinn spent nearly three weeks at Golisano Children’s Hospital, where he underwent intensive treatment, including monitoring of his labs and vital signs & gradual increases in calorie intake. Most of his nutrition came through a feeding tube, as he was unable to tolerate food and supplements by mouth. Upon discharge, Quinn required further care and was admitted to a Residential Treatment Facility in Baltimore, Maryland- the closest facility that could accommodate adolescents with feeding tubes. Since Thanksgiving, Quinn has been working incredibly hard to rewire his thought patterns, relearn how to eat, & begin to restore his weight with a diet of over 4,000 calories a day. For Shawn & Christy, this journey has been equally challenging. Every weekend, they make the long drive to Maryland to spend the limited 1.5 hours of family visitation with Quinn on Saturdays & Sundays. During the week, they juggle their jobs while attending family, nutritional, and team meetings for Quinn, as well as participating in education & support groups to better understand his needs.

Quinn’s next step in recovery is a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), beginning January 2nd. In this stage, Quinn will attend structured treatment during the day but return “home” overnight. For Christy and Shawn, this means securing temporary housing in Maryland while continuing to split their time between Maryland and New York to care for both Quinn and his younger sister.
This journey has brought significant financial challenges. Your support can help ease the burden by covering:
• Temporary housing cost in Maryland
• Travel expenses between New York & Maryland
•Uncovered medical bills
• Lost wages due to time away from work
• Boarding fees for their 9 month old Great Dane when the family has a chance to reunite in Maryland

Quinn has shown immense courage & determination during this journey, and his family is doing everything they can to support his recovery. Your kindness & generosity can help lighten the load during this incredibly difficult time.

Thank you for considering a donation to support Quinn and his family. No contribution is too small, and every bit helps. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page with others would mean the world to us.

With Gratitude, The Dillon Family
