My name is Brittney Johnson, wife of Quinn Johnson. Over the past several months, Quinn’s health has declined significantly. He is a diabetic and insulin-dependent, and about a year ago he was diagnosed with an enlarged heart. Since then, he has suffered from frequent chest pains and heart spasms.
Despite medication adjustments for his high blood pressure and diabetes, Quinn’s symptoms worsened. He began losing his appetite, struggled with mobility, and could no longer manage daily routines or work without pain. In March, he underwent emergency surgery and spent a week in the hospital. His recovery was long and difficult, but he managed to return to work after three weeks.
Sadly, things took a turn for the worse again last month. His chest pains became more frequent, and on September 8th, Quinn was rushed to the ER and transported by ambulance to Largo Medical Center. After a heart catheterization, doctors discovered several severe blockages. Stents will not help — Quinn now urgently needs open-heart surgery.
He is currently undergoing additional testing, including ultrasounds of his heart, neck arteries, and left arm to prepare for bypass surgery. Once it is safe to proceed, his surgery will be scheduled very soon. Recovery could take 6–12 weeks or longer, depending on his healing.
Quinn is a devoted husband, father, and provider. He has always worked hard to care for and protect our family. He is kind, funny, and full of life — the rock of our household. Watching his health decline has been heartbreaking for me and our two daughters. As his wife, he is not only my first true love but also my high school sweetheart. We reunited after 17 years, built a family together, and he has always been our greatest blessing.
We are asking for support to help cover:
Medical expenses and ongoing treatments
Food and basic necessities for our family
Household bills while Quinn is unable to work
Travel expenses for hospital visits and care
This has been overwhelming emotionally, mentally, and financially. I recently lost my father to an unexpected heart attack in May, and my mother in 2017 — so this journey is especially frightening for me and our family.
We don’t like to ask for help, but right now, we truly need it. Any contribution, big or small, will help us focus on Quinn’s healing and recovery without the weight of financial stress. We are deeply grateful for your support, prayers, and love during this difficult time.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,
Brittney, Quinn, and Family
