Juan, known to many as Quime, has been a dedicated member of our community since he arrived in the United States at 16 years old. For the past five years, I have had the privilege of working with him and seeing firsthand the positive impact he has on everyone around him. Quime is not only a hardworking employee but also a devoted husband and father who has always put his family first. His kindness, generosity, and ever-present smile have made him a beloved figure among his coworkers and the people he serves every day.

Recently, Quime faced an unexpected and heartbreaking turn of events. During what was supposed to be a routine interview about his immigration case and work permit renewal, he was taken into ICE custody without warning. Now, he is at risk of being deported, leaving his wife and children in a difficult and uncertain situation. Without Quime, his family is struggling to cover legal fees, their mortgage, and the everyday expenses that keep their home running.

We are reaching out to our community and beyond to ask for help supporting Quime’s family during this incredibly challenging time. The funds raised will go directly toward paying for immigration lawyers, covering their mortgage, and helping with other essential expenses. Quime has always treated everyone with kindness and respect, and the community holds deep appreciation for the work he does and the person he is. The money will be sent directly to Quime’s wife and his stepson Cristian while he is detained so they use it for their home expense and the legal fees.
