Hi everyone, my name is Queshaunda Lopez & I am 24. My family and I are reaching out because I'm going through a life-changing liver transplant journey—a victory that now comes with immense medical and financial burdens. For the past year, I have been bravely battling Stage 4 Liver Cirrhosis. This disease slowly and silently eroded my health, stealing my energy, and making simple tasks—like short walks, light house cleaning, and walking the dog—an overwhelming struggle. The last 8 months were defined by exhaustion, countless hospital visits, and the anxiety of waiting and ongoing health challenges as my medical team works to manage my symptoms and prepare me for what's ahead. I am officially now in need of a liver transplant and I have recently met with my transplant team in Denver, Colorado over the phone to begin the evaluation and transplant process in December 2025, which is next month. THE UNKNOWN IS SCARY.

However, the recovery journey is long, complex, and incredibly expensive. While the surgery itself is done, the critical care required to ensure the new liver is accepted is ongoing, intense, and demanding.

Insurance coverage is a blessing, but it does not cover everything needed for a successful, long-term recovery. We are currently facing critical, immediate, and lifelong expenses, including:

Lifelong Anti-Rejection Medications: I must take these every single day for the rest of my life. These medications are essential to prevent the body from rejecting the new liver.

Post-Operative Care & Travel: I also must make frequent trips to the transplant center in Denver, Colorado for mandatory follow-up appointments, labs, and physical therapy. The costs for gas, lodging, and specialized transportation are adding up quickly.

Lost Wages: I haven't been able to work since April 2025 due to the illness and will require at least more months off for full recovery. This loss of income is devastating to me and my family.

Our goal is to raise $35,000 to cover the first year of anti-rejection drugs, travel expenses, and critical rehabilitation.
