This is Queenie, a sweet 9-year-old chihuahua I recently adopted. Because she’s an elderly dog, her care comes with more complications and medical needs. Shortly after I brought her home, she underwent surgery to remove a mammary tumor. She now needs additional lab work and ongoing follow-up exams to monitor her health and make sure she stays comfortable.

Queenie’s adoption fee was $300, but since the rescue organization couldn’t cover medical testing, the cost of her care falls on me. As an older pup, there’s always the possibility of new health issues arising, and I want to do everything I can to give Queenie the long, happy life she deserves.
