My name is McKenna and if you know me, you may know how deeply a tiny village in Lombok, Indonesia lives within me. It is where my brother Dylan, who has passed, spent years of his life, where he was loved, and where the people became family to both of us. Every time I return, I feel at home.
One of the people at the heart of that village is Suze Q, also known as Queen Suze.
Suze is someone you do not forget. She radiates laughter, joy, and kindness in a way that stays with you. She is a mother of five, a devoted wife, and a woman whose presence brings warmth into any space she enters. Suze has spent her entire life caring for her family, supporting her community, and showing up for others long before she ever asks for anything in return.
This year, Suze suffered her second major stroke. She can no longer walk or move the left side of her body. She now spends her days lying on a thin mat inside her home without access to the medical care, transportation, or rehabilitation she urgently needs. Her husband is doing everything he can, but their resources are extremely limited.
Her five children still need support with school, transportation, and daily care. Her husband works when he can, while also needing to be home to support Suze, help her move, assist her with basic needs, and bring her to appointments she cannot reach on her own. The weight of this responsibility has placed tremendous pressure on the entire family.
I am raising funds to support Suze’s recovery and improve her quality of life.
These contributions will help provide:
• consistent rehabilitation and physical therapy
• transportation to medical appointments
• supportive bedding and equipment
• at-home caregiving support
• schooling and transportation for her children
• financial relief so her husband can be present for her healing
Even the smallest donation makes a meaningful impact in Lombok. A little truly goes a very long way.
If you feel called to contribute, thank you with my whole heart. If donating is not possible, sharing her story is just as meaningful in helping Suze receive the care she deserves. The funds will be transferred to a US account and wired to Suze's bank in Indonesia as there is no direct way to transfer directly from GoFundMe to an Indonesian bank.
Thank you for holding Suze, her family, and this village in your heart.
