Quamaine Falana had a smile that lit up every room. He was everyone’s brother, uncle, and cousin—if you knew him, you were family, because family was his heart. After coming home from prison, Quamaine became a model citizen, successfully completing the Riviera Beach reentry program and inspiring other young people to choose a higher path. He was so excited to welcome his first child into the world on January 9th—a beautiful baby girl who brought him so much joy and hope for the future.

Tragically, on January 10th, Quamaine’s life was suddenly taken by a senseless act. Our family is now facing the unimaginable: saying goodbye to someone who meant so much to so many, and caring for his newborn daughter without him. We are reaching out to our village for help with funeral expenses and to ensure that Quamaine’s baby girl lacks nothing as she begins her life without her father.

It takes a village, and we are asking a village to support. Any support you can give means the world to us. For the word of the Lord says there is no lack and no want to those who fear the Lord (Psalm 34:9a). I believe we shall lack nothing with the help of our village.
