Support Brittney & Calvin's Baby Dreams

Those that know Calvin and Brittney know they LOVE BIG! They want nothing more than a baby to love and complete their family. Asking others for help is not easy, especially when they are usually the first ones to step up to give it. If you can support and help Calvin and Brittney’s journey to become parents, we would be forever grateful. So far, they have spent 4 years trying to get pregnant naturally. In year 5 came expensive testing and consults with UW Health Generations, it was determined that Brittney has a low ovarian reserve. After several months of Clomid led to a trip to the ER for a swollen ovary she’s consistently been on Letrozole which has shown improvement in development of follicles, however, with multiple ultrasounds, labs and 5 failed IUI’s (intrauterine insemination) costing upwards of $7,000 their care team advises IVF (In vitro fertilization).

As much as this is an exciting time, it’s also emotionally and financially overwhelming due to it not being covered under insurance. For their first round of IVF their care team took an aggressive approach with an IVF Estrace Priming Care Plan, which resulted in Brittney having many cysts that crowded the space for a baby to grow and develop. After weeks of daily growth hormone injections, their first round of IVF came to a halt. After that cycle, the care team cleared them to move forward to their second round of IVF. Their care plan switched to using Microdose Lupron (Flare) with long growth hormone, which is not only stressful but also very expensive.

If Calvin and Brittney are not pregnant this round, they’re hopeful more rounds are an option, of course with additional costs. This current round of IVF, which involves blood tests, ultrasounds, hormone shots, other medications, egg retrieval and implantation office visits/procedures, includes a total cost upwards of $23,000-$25,000. Even with medications purchased thus far, they have $15,000 in expenses remaining.

Brittney and Calvin are very hesitant to share this vulnerable part of their lives, but we have reassured them that many loved ones would be glad to show up for them. We hope you will be supportive of these two in their journey to be parents. They've given so much of their hearts, home, and time to the rest of us over the years and any amount of support will help. All money raised through this fund will help cover costs of medical expenses listed above. If by a miracle we raise more than the goal, the money will be set aside to help cover any additional medical costs as well as prepare for baby. Any contribution is deeply appreciated.
