Who We Are?
Qazizada Multicultural Therapy Clinic is a non-profit organization that was established in February 2023 and is located in Orange County, California. The organization was created to provide FREE services to the South Asian and Middle Eastern community within California in their native languages to support individuals and families who are experiencing mental health challenges. Mental Health professionals at QMTC speak English, Dari, Hindi, Pashto, and Urdu, and work from a culturally competent lens. This organization was created by Dr. Lamba Aziz-Hanifzai and Wali Abdul Hanifzai, a couple who experienced migration and displacement after leaving Afghanistan and taking refuge in the United States in 2000.

What We Do?
During 2025, QMTC had been able to:
  • Engage in 3,500+ hours of direct clinical counseling sessions, both in- person and online.
  • Serve 2,200 individuals, including teens, adults, and families.
  • Serve 500 families across Los Angeles, Orange, Sacramento, Tracy, and Modesto.
  • Provide advocacy, case management, and referral services for 250 cases
  • Provide 27 mental health workshops and educational sessions for the community that address sensitive and often stigmatized topics
  • Conduct 32 Group therapy Programs (including a weekly refugee youth group)
  • Organize 12 community gatherings and family-focused events.

QMTC is presently engaged in providing clinical mental health services to a mother and her six children residing in a group home in Orange County. In the course of our individual consultations, her 11-year-old showed signs of communication difficulties, exhibited limited interaction with his peers, and had academic concerns raised by his teachers. His is mother also reported his inability to read, write, or speak in either English or their native language.

Following a comprehensive assessment, our clinicians hypothesize that this child might fall within the Autism spectrum. The QMTC team, in collaboration with his mother, is actively advocating for the child at his school and has sought further evaluation from the regional center. This will potentially enable the child to access additional resources and services. It has become apparent through our intervention that this child requires a higher level of care. We are currently in the process of ensuring that the necessary support is provided to both the child and his family.

In order to continue providing free mental health care and advocacy for our community, QMTC is asking for donations to cover costs for services that will benefit the people in need of mental health services.

Please donate generously towards this cause and help us fundraise $25,000.00. All proceeds go towards covering therapy sessions and educational workshops. This cause is Zakat Applicable in line with HRF's Zakat Policy.
