On November 27–28, 2026, Dakar will host DevFest × PyCon Senegambia: two days of learning, sharing and building the future of tech in West Africa.
Who we are
PyCon Senegambia is a community-driven conference run by volunteers from Senegal and The Gambia. The 2026 edition is co-organized by Python Senegambia, Google Developer Group (GDG) Dakar and GalsenAI. Our first edition in Banjul in 2025 was backed by around 16 sponsors and partners, and this year we're aiming even higher in Dakar.
What's happening
- Friday: PyCon Senegambia. Keynotes, panels and 6 masterclasses on Python, data and AI.
- Saturday: DevFest Dakar × PyCon Workshops. Masterclasses, hands-on workshops and panels on Google technologies, software development and innovation.
- Two days of networking for students, developers, researchers, entrepreneurs and companies from across the region.
Why we need your help
We want this event to be open to as many people as possible, especially students and young talent who rarely get access to opportunities like this. Your donation will help cover:
- meals for attendees (breakfast, lunch, coffee breaks)
- logistics and technical equipment (sound, video, screens, internet)
- free or discounted tickets for students
- travel for some speakers, especially from The Gambia
- materials and goodies for participants
Our goal: $2000
Every contribution matters. Just $10 can cover a meal for one attendee.
How you can help

Thank you for supporting an open, inclusive and forward-looking tech community in Senegambia.
