If you’ve danced, celebrated, or gathered on the West Coast, you’ve likely felt the magic of Purple—through his movement on the dance floor and through the Dream Steam Spa, his one-of-a-kind mobile steam sanctuary.

For over a decade, Dream Steam has offered rebirthing spaces where thousands of people have found healing, connection, and relief at festivals, retreats, and Burning Man. These steams are more than hot baths—they are transformational temples of fire, water, light, and community.

What Happened

On the way into Burning Man, tragedy struck. Purple, exhausted from the long drive, swerved while Coral slept beside him. Though he managed to keep the truck safe, the steam bath trailer flipped into a ditch and was crushed.

This devastating accident destroyed Purple’s most recent creation—his life’s work, built from scratch with thousands of hours and tens of thousands of dollars invested. Dream Steam was not only his offering to the community but also where Purple invested the inheritance from his father and the last three years of his life’s work.

Why It Matters

Dream Steam is:

A transformational temple where people experience renewal and deep connection

A rebirthing space offering life-saving relief in desert and festival environments

A creation entirely sustained by Purple’s heart, vision, and financial risk

Purple and Coral had just begun finding ways to sustain the project financially this season, after pouring well over six figures into its development. With this loss, they’ve not only lost the steam itself but their livelihood.

We had to cancel Dream Steam at Unison, and while Purple may try to make something functional for the remainder of Burning Man, we need your help to rebuild this sanctuary for the future.
