It’s been my DREAM to help build a robust “foster support program,” to fund supplies & resources for volunteers that foster locally⁣⁣, to help dogs like Daffodil and her puppies.

All of this in honor and memory of Maple, Juniper & Posie. Losing them broke my heart, but as I held them in their final moments, I vowed they'd be the catalyst to tremendous change. And I meant it

After everything these puppies have been through, I am desperate to ensure Daffodil's puppies are never returned to the shelter.

And I need your help...

I started fostering Daffodil through my local humane society. She was underweight, malnourished and within 48 hours of bringing her home, she gave birth to 9 beautiful puppies.

Because her body condition was so poor, Daffodil's postpartum recovery was extremely hard which meant round the clock care for her large litter. And when I didn't think things could get worse, they did...

At ~3.5 weeks old, we lost 3 of her puppies, which was one of the darkest moments of my life. We did everything we could to save Maple, Juniper and Posie, but their little bodies couldn't handle this world.

Now that I can breathe again, I'm doing whatever it takes to ensure the 6 remaining puppies have everything they need when they go to their forever families.

Puppies, especially once they hit adolescence, have the HIGHEST return rate because families become overwhelmed with training, behavior needs and cost of care. But we can change this, together.

By donating to their "puppy scholarship," you will help fund their first puppy training and socialization classes with their new families. Funds will also go towards healthy food, supplies, initial vet care and resources.

Even for the most dog experienced, bringing home a new puppy is very difficult and expensive. Your support will make the transition to their new homes easier, and allow their families to focus on raising a well-rounded & healthy puppy.

If I could, I would keep them all. But I can't continue fostering rescue dogs if I have 6 Border Collies running around! So the next best thing I can do is help their new families have a strong start. I have nightmares thinking of these puppies being returned to the shelter... We only have a couple weeks until they're eligible for adoption in Southern Oregon, so please share this! Even if you can't donate, sharing is what makes the difference.

Daffodil and her puppies have inspired the world. MILLIONS of people are following their story online, and while this has been one of the hardest times of my life, it has been one of the most profound. Meaningful change will come from this, and it is only because of your support. Bonus: any surplus funds will go towards my local shelter's foster program, to support volunteers in the community.
