Almost 10 years ago, we found little Pumpkin running for her life on the sidewalks of Queens, NY. Not having children of our own but having a lot of love to give, we scooped her up and gave her the best life we could possibly give. She brings joy to everyone around her by just being her own self, making strangers smile as she comes shopping with us in her stroller, seeing children point at the cute doggie, and even making celebrities' hearts melt when we take her to comic conventions.

We're doing what we can to provide the absolute best care we can give her, but her condition has changed drastically in just the last few weeks, and it looks like heart failure is the likely culprit. As we write this, she's in an oxygen chamber, and we are hoping for the best when she comes out of it. The emergency vet visits are quite expensive, and because we were just told that she was relatively healthy by her regular vet, we were not prepared for these at all.

What we're asking for won't cover the initial visits that she's still in the middle of, so we're hoping to go over our limit so we can be prepared for anything that may come along. We are not sure what lies ahead or what exactly she will need- we are awaiting calls from her cardiologist and regular vet. This diagnosis was sudden, given to us at 10 pm last night, and without interventions it does not look good for our girl.
