January 16th 2025 Update

I am beyond grateful for the outpouring of love and support for Pumpkin!

Thanks to everyone's generosity, we officially booked the procedure and have a surgery date of February 18th.

Upon booking, we were informed that the surgery was going to cost a bit less than anticipated- which makes us 42% for goal.

While we anxiously await this surgery and a healthy and clear biopsy following we appreciate your shares, thoughts, and support for Pumpkin.

Hi there, my name is April and this story is about my beloved Pumpkin.

My partner Roger and I received news that Pumpkin has Mast Cell Cancer on his skin after inquiring with a vet about a spot on his ear.

While this news was less than ideal after being assured it was nothing prior to his biopsy, we are relived to know that this cancer, is fortunately very treatable if removed and monitored in a timely manner.

Why support Pumpkin Cat?

Pumpkin, is cuddly 8 year old orange Siberian rescue who has been with us since college, travelled with us cross county (twice by roadtripping and 4 Christmas trips!), and other than this recent diagnosis has been healthy, happy, and a great support in our lives.

In fact, Pumpkin Cat is much more than a support... he's family (of course!) We actively refer to Pumpkin as "my twin", mostly for laughs, but also because we love all the same spots in the house, adore idly daydreaming out the window, love our alone time, and prefer our morning routines are never interrupted.

If you support this GofundMe, you are supporting Pumpkin's recovery- for which the prognosis is positive once the treatment is complete!

Your contributions will directly support the treatment requiring anesthesia, a surgery removing the cancer, and biopsy monitoring in the future to ensure we have gotten rid of the cancer.
