Hi friends. Our beloved cat Puck needs foreign body removal surgery (again) and we're running out of options.

For some backstory, Puck had to have this same surgery last June due to a compacted hair blockage. He recovered well and we have since made dietary changes to help with his digestive issues but unfortunately even with these changes he is back in the same situation.

We took him to our regular vet yesterday after noting signs of a blockage and they referred us to the ER vet. The ER vet did an ultrasound and administered fluids to try and get whatever is stuck to pass but after staying over night and checking him again, the blockage has not budged and he is set to go to emergency surgery today.

We tried to get him in at both of the low cost surgery clinics in our area, but there's no availability so we're stuck with this insane quote of $6.5k- $8.8k for his total bill.

The ER vet offers third party financing but we've been denied for everything and had to take out an Affirm loan. But it still doesn't cover even half of what we need.

We are reaching out for help because this is a huge financial burden we were not expecting and we just want Puck to be okay!

Any money we raise here will go directly to covering his vet bills and surgery recovery.
