Support PRP Treatment for Shoulder Recovery
Donation protected
In March of this year I learned that I have a “low-grade partial-thickness articular sided supraspinatus tear” in my left shoulder, commonly known as a torn rotator cuff. Thankfully, it is a partial tear and at the moment does not require surgery. Needless to say, it has been quite painful and limits the use of my left arm.
I am hoping to raise money to cover the cost of PRP (platelet-rich plasma) injections, which have been highly successful in repairing rotator cuff tears. Blood is drawn, the plasma separated, and then injected back into the body at the site of injury using ultrasound to guide the needle. Unfortunately, insurance does not cover PRP injections, which run around $800 per injection. It is anticipated that I will need at least two injections to help repair the injury. My first treatment is scheduled for June 13, 2025.
Because I was recently laid off work, I am hoping to raise money to cover the medical costs of up to three injections. As you know, any amount donated, great or small, helps lighten the weight of financial demands.
Thank you, in advance, for any donation you can offer!
My gratitude runs deep
