Support Prosser Students' STEM Journey to D.C.

Donation protected
We're a group of four students from Prosser Career Education Center. Last year, our instructor told us about the Congressional App Challenge, a competition directly sponsored by Congress. We quickly became interested and formed a group of four members: Yinhai Weng, Brandon Rogers, Wyatt Wisman, and Ayden Daugherty. After a span of around two months, we finished our app, Road of Honor. When making Road of Honor, we were inspired by our passion for American History as well as our love of games. We opted to have an app that can teach others about history while also entertaining them at the same time.

In December, it was announced that we had won in Indiana's 9th District and as such, we were invited to #HouseOfCode in Washington D.C. on April 8-9th. This event is a nationwide coding initiative to help and encourage students studying in STEM education. This is a truly unique opportunity for us to further our professional careers as well as showcase our skills and talent with industry leaders. The Congressional App Challenge aims to inspire students to pursue a passion for STEM through local competitions hosted by Congress, and it has reached underserved, diverse, and rural student populations. Your support would mean the world to us and would contribute to the development of the next generation of coders and STEM professionals.

To make this trip possible, we are raising funds to cover our travel, hotel, transportation, and meal expenses. Calculating our costs, altogether we have a total estimated $3,000. Any excess will be used to further our education (specifically college). We are excited to share this experience with our communities and to inspire others to explore their passion for coding. Any help that you could provide would be greatly appreciated, and we would be happy to answer any questions you may have. Please feel free to share our fundraiser with your friends and family as well.

We plan to bring a sign (or multiple) to #HouseOfCode with all of donors who contribute $50 or more.

Thank you for considering our request.
