This is for Promy Islam. She lives in a small developing country named Bangladesh. She is a pre-primary school teacher and, more importantly, a mother to two amazing daughters — one 7 years old, already dreaming big, and one 2, who still believes her mother’s arms are the safest place in the world.
After months of unexplained crippling pain, she learned that she has Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer (TNBC), and it has spread to her bones, including her skull, spine, ribs and hips. Some days, the pain is so severe that she cannot even lift her toddler — a heartbreak no mother is prepared for.
Right now, her doctors have made it clear that the next 6 months are critical. Her focus must be entirely on treatment. The cost of scans, medications, and ongoing care is overwhelming, and this fundraiser is solely to help cover some of those medical expenses.
Promy is fierce and not afraid of the treatment and the challenges that come with it. Her greatest fear is missing the moments that matter — birthdays, school days, and the comfort only a mother can give. She is fighting with everything she has to stay here for her girls.
If you are able to donate, thank you from the depths of my heart. Please help Promy to be their for daughters.
