We’re Riley and Mara Chi, high school students from Bethesda, Maryland. After visiting a village in Botswana last year, we were deeply moved by the incredible resilience and ambition of the local women—and inspired to take action. That’s why we launched Project Sewing Hope. Our mission is to empower these women with sewing machines, quality fabrics, and essential tools so they can build successful businesses and achieve lasting financial independence.
