Support Project Poetic Justice's Growth & New Concert Venue
Donation protected
Hi everyone! Ryan here. My program Project Poetic Justice just finished its 6th week at the DC Jail. Things have been going well -- WTOP recently came through to feature students and their work, JHU poetry tutors have completed their portion of the curriculum, and the Peabody composers are in the process of writing their songs.
I am looking to raise additional funding, as I've needed to find a new venue for the final concert. Based on ticket reservations, the original space is no longer large enough. I am now looking to reserve Church of the Epiphany DC, which has a stunning sanctuary (pictured below), is easily metro accessible, and can accommodate a much larger audience.
The fee is: $1,037.50 ($737.50 for the space, $150 for the piano rental, and $150 for staffing). I am asking for $1,250 to also cover the cost of one additional panelist for this event. The remaining money will cover the panelist's payment and travel costs from Baltimore to DC.
The event is open to the public, free, and will take place from 12-2pm at the Church of the Epiphany in Washington, DC. Here is the eventbrite page: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/project-poetic-justice-community-concert-tickets-1255897385889?aff=oddtdtcreator the location of the event will be updated shortly to reflect this campaign!
