Getting a CubeSat into orbit is a very hard task to achieve. Even university teams with direct mentorship and years of experience can fail. Our PixelSat I team tries to achieve this with commercial hardware without any adult supervision, as highschoolers.

The ultimate goal we have is to take an image of the Earth from space. To do this, we must detumble (stop spinning after being released from the launch vehicle), establish contact between it and our team on the ground, and downlink the image we take from the camera. We also plan to stream video and do onboard analysis of the video feed.

Additionally, we want to inspire other students from around the world that building a CubeSat from scratch with no experience is possible. We hope to have other groups follow our lead.

As a student led team without institutional funding, we need monetary support. Any donation, big or small, would go a long way to help us with our mission!
