Professor Michael Craig has dedicated much of his career to improving our understanding of mental health, neurodevelopmental conditions and the relationship between hormones and the brain.
His research interests include ADHD, autism, women’s mental health, reproductive psychiatry, PMDD, perimenopause and menopause, with a particular focus on understanding how hormonal changes throughout life can affect mental health and neurodevelopmental conditions.
We are creating this fundraising page for members of the public who would like to support Professor Craig’s ongoing and future research.
Research can be expensive, particularly during the early stages of developing new ideas, gathering preliminary evidence and establishing pilot studies. Funding can help support areas such as:
Development of new research projects and pilot studies
Research assistance and data collection
Participant recruitment and research materials
Data analysis
Academic collaboration
Publication and dissemination of research findings
Development of larger research programmes and future studies
Why this research matters
Conditions such as ADHD and autism are increasingly recognised, but there are still significant gaps in our understanding of how they affect people differently throughout their lives.
This is particularly true for women.
There remains much more to understand about the interaction between ADHD, autism, reproductive hormones, the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, PMDD, perimenopause and menopause.
By supporting this research, donors can help contribute towards developing a better evidence base in areas of mental health where important questions remain unanswered.
Every contribution helps
Whether you are able to contribute £10, £50, £100 or more, every donation can help support the development of future research.
For those who are unable to donate, sharing this page with others who may be interested in supporting research is also greatly appreciated.
Thank you for supporting Professor Craig’s work and helping to advance research into neurodevelopmental and reproductive mental health.
Important: Contributions to this research fund are entirely voluntary and are separate from Professor Craig’s clinical practice. Donations do not influence access to treatment, appointment availability, clinical decisions or any aspect of an individual’s care.
