For 25 years, Printz Dance Project has created heart-forward, accessible contemporary-jazz dance that connects artists and audiences, and brings our community together. As a small nonprofit company, every performance, class, and collaboration has been made possible by supporters who believe in the transformative power of movement.
As we stand, or rather dance, on the precipice of this momentous year, I admit to being emotional and nostalgic as I take account of the grit, heart, tenacity and love that has gone into sustaining this company. And...as has been true for all these years, it is a challenging and vulnerable thing to ask for help, but it's the way we move forward, so here we go.
We invite you to help bring this 25th Anniversary year to life. In our 2026-2027 season we are beyond excited to offer a variety of events - community events like Community Moves, opportunities to come together in joy with our Spring 2026 immersive show: Variety Fest, events to support the artists in our company by producing a show for them to share their own choreographic work in our Fall 2026 performance series: Six Degrees of PDP, and to top it all off, the culminating MainStage PDP performance in April 2027: the reimagining/remount of our most toured and acclaimed work, Hover Space. (Yes...THAT Hover Space- with the floating, moving floor that raises, lowers, tilts throughout the show).

Your support directly ensures:
- Fair pay for dancers and collaborators - fund a dancer! We have the most incredible, dedicated, passionate and talented group of dancers for this year-long season and would love your help in compensating these artists.
- Creation of new choreographic work - help PDP give our amazing artists a platform to share their own choreography. In addition, we will be developing new creative material for all of our anniversary events, so your gift enables that creation!
- Venues for rehearsals and for a developmental residency for Hover Space - While the Presidio theatre is presenting our culminating Hover Space shows (and we are beyond thrilled), we need to build the set and be able to rehearse with it prior to the show run - so it's imperative that we secure the resources to execute a developmental residency.
- Costumes - We have new dancers stepping into many of these events, and would love your support in completing costume sets. Help us fulfill the stage picture.
- Publicity- we want to shout it from the roof tops that this little-engine-that-could nonprofit dance company has made, shared, toured work for 25 years! But in addition to rooftops, in order to get the word out, we need to ramp up our marketing and PR.
