Support Princess's NYU Creative Dream and Journey

Hello everyone! My name is Princess Amugo and I’ve got some exciting news that I’ve been accepted into NYU’s Gallatin Graduate Program for Creative Writing/Visual Arts/Studio Art this upcoming Fall 2025 Term. It’s exciting to know that I’ll be embarking on this new journey, a journey that wouldn’t have been possible without being held by my community of friends/family.

I feel like I’m being given the opportunity to step into a portal where I am actualizing the sort of dreams I’ve had lodged in the shyest parts of my brain for ages. Where I am able to just focus on building my own studies and expanding my body of work, concentrating on the overarching theme that’s the pulse of everything I do: storytelling. I’m hoping to thoughtfully hone in on my skills and create art that I can be proud of. It's incredible to be in this stage of my life and I’m eternally grateful to every person that has supported me, every person I’ve worked with, and every contemplative walk I’ve taken that’s shifted my perspectives on what could be possible for this little life of mine. As we all are pained to know, graduate school is extremely expensive. Doing a graduate program in one of the most expensive cities in the world where rent is the cost of my first born son is another huge layer, so I created this gofundme in case anyone would like to support my education/living situation.
