Help Prince Overcome His Health Battle

My name is Aileen Donohue, and I live in Lexington, MA. Recently, my boyfriend and I’s sweet 5-month-old puppy, Prince, was diagnosed with a serious but treatable congenital birth defect called a portosystemic shunt. While he’s shown improvement with medication and returned to his chipper self, unfortunately, medicine will not be enough in the long term. The vet has determined he will require a costly surgery to recover fully. Prince’s prognosis post-surgery is very positive, and given that he is so young, he will likely go on to live a very long and healthy life.

When Prince was deeply lethargic on his first day in the ER, I took out a slice of his favorite deli meat. He perked up immediately at the scent of the honey ham and devoured it eagerly without a second thought. At that moment, my fear melted away, and I just knew our baby would be okay.

Although my boyfriend and I are exhausted, we will not stop fighting for him. Prince is a fighter, and we love this adorable boy with our whole heart. We cannot wait to bring him home to snuggle up with him and have this faithful companion by our side once again where he belongs. Any donation amount, no matter how small, is so greatly appreciated.
