Primrose came into the world facing challenges no child should have to endure. Due to a rare and severe medical complication, which impacts less than 1% of woman, I suffered a prolonged seizure and subsequently she suffered a significant brain injury caused by oxygen deprivation.

Since then, she has shown incredible strength and determination, supported by outstanding care from the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, along with ongoing therapy. Despite this, some treatments that could dramatically improve her quality of life are not available in Australia.

We now have the opportunity to take Primrose to Mexico in July to receive a breakthrough stem cell therapy, an innovative treatment that has shown remarkable results in repairing brain pathways and improving motor function. An advanced regenerative medicine using unique, stress-tolerant adult stem cells that naturally travel and locate the damaged tissue, differentiating it and working to repair it. This treatment is not available in Australia and whilst the travel is enormous, the potential recovery outcomes are life changing for our little girl.

The journey, however, comes at a cost. The treatment alone costs $17,644AUD (updated quote for 2 weeks of treatment). Any funds donated will go towards paying for Primrose's medical treatment. We will also have the costs of paying for airfares and accommodation on top of that. Asking for help is not easy for our family, but for Primrose, we are reaching out with hope.
