Our lives changed overnight when my husband, an active duty Air Force service member, was diagnosed with cancer. On January 28th, he underwent an extensive and life-altering surgery that removed a majority of his liver, gallbladder, appendix, lymph nodes, and parts of his abdominal muscles. Right now, we don't have clear answers about his prognosis, and learning to live in that unknown has been one of the most difficult parts of this journey.
He has shown more strength, courage, and resilience than I ever thought possible. Even in pain, even in uncertainty, he continues to fight with quiet bravery and I couldn't be more proud of him.
We are incredibly grateful that much of his medical care has been covered, but not every medical bill or medication expense has been. Unfortunately, cancer reaches far beyond hospital walls and prescriptions. The emotional weight, constant appointments, and the strain of navigating everyday life during recovery have created burdens we never could have anticipated.
Watching the person you love go through something like this is something you can never truly prepare for. If you would like to support us, whether through a donation, sharing our story, or keeping us in your prayers, it would truly mean the world to us.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who has already shown us such incredible love, support, and generosity during this difficult time.
