Another Clyde Bulldog is in need of your prayers, support, and donations if you are able. Preston Hukill, 15 years old and the son of Lacey Rau, was in a serious car accident on Sunday morning. The driver responsible for the accident was arrested for DUI and, as far as we know, did not suffer serious injuries. Preston was NOT under the influence of any alcohol or drugs. Unfortunately, Preston’s second cervical vertebrae (his neck) is broken, and he is now facing a complicated neurosurgery to save his life and prevent paralysis. Even if the surgery is completely successful, Preston will have significant limitations with head and neck movement for the rest of his life. This means his dreams of playing football and pursuing a military career are no longer possible. He now faces a long and difficult road to recovery, both physically and emotionally.
Preston’s mother, Lacey, will be by his side every step of the way, which means lost wages and added financial strain on their family. The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward Preston’s medical and rehabilitation expenses, travel costs for his family, and any other unexpected expenses that may arise during his recovery.
If you are able, please consider donating to help Preston and his family during this incredibly challenging time. If you can’t donate, your prayers and support are just as valuable. As always, we are Bulldog strong, and together we can help Preston and his family through this journey.
