Support Me as I Represent Team USA at the 107th Korea National Sports Festival
Hi, my name is Preston Shin.
I am honored to have been selected to represent Team USA in the Men's +80kg Division at the 107th Korea National Sports Festival in Jeju, South Korea this October.
I started Taekwondo when I was four years old. Since then, I've spent many years training, competing, and challenging myself to improve. Along the way, I've learned the importance of discipline, perseverance, respect, and never giving up.
Being selected to represent Team USA is something I am truly grateful for. It reflects many years of hard work, and I look forward to competing against talented athletes from around the world while proudly wearing the USA uniform.
Earlier this year, I fractured my right hand while training. It was a disappointing setback, but it hasn't changed my goal. I've been working hard on my recovery so I can be ready to compete and proudly represent Team USA in South Korea.
Like many amateur athletes, I am responsible for most of the expenses that come with competing internationally. My total estimated cost for this trip is about $4,500. The Korea Taekwondo Association in U.S.A. has generously contributed $1,000 toward my travel expenses, and the Korea Sports Association in U.S.A. will provide my hotel accommodations during the tournament. I am hoping to raise the remaining $3,500.
Your support will help cover airfare, transportation between the airport and the hotel, training expenses before departing for Korea, tournament-related expenses, training supplies, personal necessities, and other travel-related costs.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for supporting me. I will do my very best to represent Team USA with pride, respect, and good sportsmanship.
I truly appreciate your kindness, encouragement, and support. Thank you for believing in me and helping make this opportunity possible.
Sincerely,
Preston Shin
