Support Prestin's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
This is for Prestin—our strong, funny, and fearless 17-year-old who was involved in a devastating accident on Springfield Pike on Thursday, May 8th, just after 3 PM.
Prestin was life-flighted from the scene in critical condition. Since then, he’s undergone four surgeries. Tragically, due to the severity of his injuries, Prestin lost his right leg below the knee. The road ahead is long—full of healing, physical therapy, and adjustments to an entirely new way of life.
But if you know Prestin, you know his spirit is unshakable.
It’s been emotionally, physically, and (inevitably) financially exhausting for the entire family.
Prestin is one of those rare young men who leaves an impression on everyone he meets. He doesn’t drink, smoke, or even vape—something rare in today’s world of teenagers. He’s a loving son, brother, uncle, grandson, cousin, boyfriend, and friend. His biggest passions are hunting and fishing, and when the doctors mentioned about the amputation, the first thing said—true to form—was, “As long as I’ve got one leg to hunt and fish, take it!”
That’s just who he is. Smiling through pain. Making others laugh when they want to cry.
Now, it’s our/your turn to show up for him.
His dad is currently the only working parent, with his mom being a full-time stay at home mom-now adding caregiver to him. hospital stays, gas, food, upcoming prosthetic needs, lost wages, and more, this situation is quickly becoming financially overwhelming.
Whether it’s $1, $5, or just a share, any support means the world to Prestin and his family.
Let’s come together as a community and help this incredible young man get back to doing what he loves—with one leg, two crutches, or whatever it takes.
At first, Prestin’s family didn’t want to create a GoFundMe. After being advised by those close to them—they’ve decided to accept that help and open this fundraiser.
Thank you for reading. Thank you for caring. And most of all, thank you for supporting Prestin.
