Support Preslee's Family

Hi my name is Chase and I am Preslee's uncle. So many of you have asked how you can donate and support her and her family during this difficult time.

Preslee woke up complaining of a bad headache on March 25th at 4:00am and by 6:30am she was unresponsive. She was rushed by ambulance to the hospital and ultimately they found a large posterior brain bleed. This was caused from an AVM (an abnormal cluster of vessels) we didn’t know about (she was most likely born with). She did not sustain any injury that caused this bleed. An EVD was placed to relieve pressure but this did not initially work as the pressure in her brain was down low and not where they can place this type of drain. She was then rushed into an emergency 7 hour brain surgery to attempt to clip the feeding artery and to remove a portion of the skull for swelling. It doesn’t appear that this completely worked, however it did relieve the initial pressure caused by the bleed.

She will remain intubated and sedated in the PICU for the foreseeable future. Sweet Preslee will have to undergo at least 2 more surgeries and will have a lengthy stay at the PICU. Katie (ER Nurse) and Kyle (Tucson Fire Department Captain) have taken care of so many and now is our time to help give back to them. We will post updates here as they come in.
