Support the Becker Family in preserving their Parents Rights

Tax deductible

Hi, I'm Maryfaye Kecko, and I'm reaching out to you to support the National Association of Parents, Inc., also known as ParentsUSA on behalf of Clint and Jessica Becker

We have updated the description of this fundraiser to give a better picture of what this family is facing.

Parents (biological and legally adoptive) are supposed to have the right to raise their children as they see fit, move anywhere they choose to and decide who should and should not interact with their children. It is against basic inalienable and constitutional rights for their parental rights to be interfered with by the courts/government especially when there are FIT Parents.

Who is this Fundraiser about ?

This fundraiser is about Parents, Jessica and Clint Becker, fighting to preserve their rights in an Equitable Caregiver Rights Claim lodged against Jessica Becker as the biological mother.
In Layman’s terms: The Equitable Caregiver Status grants ‘Parental Rights’ to a child that is not biologically related to the person seeking the status. The person then has the ability to have primary custody and/or equal decision making of the child equal to that of a biological parent.

Jessica and Clint Becker have been together consistently (living in the same home and acting as a married couple) since 2018 when the child was 3 yrs old. Jessica and Clint have had two other children together since that time. They were legally married in early 2025.

Jessica & Clint wanted to

1. Legally name Clint as the Childs father through adoption. Clint had been in the role of father since 2018 supporting the child, educating himself about the Childs autism needs and addressing those needs, As well as actively being his father and his belief that every child deserves to have a legal father.
2. Jessica and Clint wanted to relocate from their small rural community that lacked Autism Resources and Career Opportunities to a place that had better services and programs for their Autistic child and other children as well as better career opportunities for both parents.

For months and years prior to taking the action of adoption and preparing to relocate they discussed these points with Jessicas long time family friend, a mother figure to her and grandmother figure to the child who is the subject of this claim. This friend was in agreement of Clint adopting the child and of their relocation plans even implying that she would be willing to relocate to remain close to both Jessica and the child.

Clint then, after obtaining the blessing of the Childs biological father, began the process of adoption.

With the expectation of the adoption finalizing and the understanding of the friend of their plans, and after much research in the previous months and years they decided on where they would like to relocate and put their home up for sale.

The friend then filed petitions for Equitable Caregiver of the child. Imagine for a moment if your long time friend and part time babysitter chose to gain rights to your child, how would you react?

During all of this, They received a generous offer on their house and sold it. They needed money to continue to pay their lawyer to fight the Equitable caregiver claims, knew they would not see another offer that good, and sold the home. (at this point they had spent nearly 10k on the lawyer they started the adoption process with)

They moved in with Clints brother who had room to accommodate them, Paid the lawyer and purchased a home to relocate to when these legal items were done. They Have NOT moved to their new home yet, they still reside in their home town with Clint’s Brother.

No further action was taken on finalizing the adoption by Clints Lawyer.

Clint was not included in the Equitable Caregiver case against his wife as her husband or as the pending legal father of the child.

Jessicas Lawyer petitioned the court to Withdraw as her legal representation when Jessica insisted she did not want to give her rights away.(the lawyer wants to quit representing Jessica)

Clint and Jessica reached out to ParentsUSA for advice on navigating this process of securing their parental rights of the child.
