Kora Rey King was born very premature at 30 weeks via emergency c-section on August 7, 2020 to parents Kristen and Jacob King of Clear Lake, Texas. Kora was born weighing 3 pound 14 ounces. Kora had a perforated bowel that needed surgery upon arrival and needed to be on a ventilator. They removed part of her bowel and created two stomas and needed a PICC line. She will need multiple surgeries to correct her bowel in the future. Kora has a small hole in her heart that they are continuing to monitor. She has been on IV nutrition waiting for her bowel to become less inflamed and for her stomach to wake up and start working. Kora is in the NICU at Children’s Memorial Hermann at the Medical Center.
We are asking friends and family to please send prayers, encouragement and donations to this family to help with the costs of transportation, parking and medical bills. Please help us raise funds to ease the stress of medical expenses during this difficult time. This family should be focusing on the health of their new baby girl rather than their medical bills. We’re going through a tough time right now but are beyond grateful to everyone’s kindness.
