Prattville Pride is a **grassroots, small-town LGBTQ+ organization in the Deep South**, led by a small but mighty team of passionate volunteers dedicated to creating safe, affirming spaces for our most vulnerable neighbors. As we prepare for our second annual Pride Fest—**Together We Rise**—on **June 1, 2025**, we’re reaching out for your support. This year, we encountered major challenges when the City of Prattville failed to provide their new **“Green Space Rental Agreement,”** which prevented us from using the public venue we had planned for. As a result, we were forced to rent a private venue at the last minute—an unexpected **$2,500** cost. While we’re proud to share that our **501(c)(3)** status has finally been approved, it didn’t happen in time to qualify for critical grant funding for this year’s event. With only **two weeks left**, we still need to raise an additional **$2,500** to ensure our event is safe, successful, and joyful for the community we serve. We’re doing everything we can—**car washes, yard sales, and relentless grassroots hustle**—but we can’t do it alone.
Last year, we made history here in small-town Alabama and were honored with national media coverage from **Good Morning America** and an **award from GLAAD**. And when the city tried to remove us from their Christmas parade, we stood our ground—filing a **federal lawsuit** and winning a **federal injunction that protected our right to participate**. We are here to **champion diversity, visibility, and equality** in every way we can—and now, we’re asking you to stand with us.
**If you believe in love without conditions, in safety without fear, and in the power of community to drive change—please donate today. Your support ensures that even in the Deep South, Pride has a place, our voices are heard, and no one is left behind. Together, we rise.**
