Hello! My name is Ruby, and I am reaching out to you on behalf of my beloved masi (aunt), Pratibha Mishra.

Think about a woman who doesn't know how to live beyond her means, lives life with joy, gives with no desire to take, has short legs but walks swiftly, and never stops hustling...that's my masi.

You will all find a glimpse of your mom or your aunt in mine. She is there to dance at your celebrations, to cry with you in your grief, to lend a hand during turbulent times, to stand outside trial rooms, and to give solutions to problems you never spoke of out loud.

Our masi had a rough past few months. What started as stomach aches, poor appetite, and indigestion led to a diagnosis of one of the most aggressive cancers, high-grade Burkitt lymphoma.

We are thankful to have made this discovery in the phases where we could act upon it. Per her oncologists, she will need at least 6 cycles of chemotherapy, which will cost around $15,000. This does not include the cost of medications, travel, hospital stay, further hospitalizations that may be required, additional chemotherapy cycles, and physical therapies.
