Prairie Dog Alliance is a group of Southeast Kansas residents who have come together out of concern for a proposed project in Parsons, Kansas. Deep Fission, a company based in Berkeley, California, is planning to install an untested, experimental nuclear micro reactor a mile underground in the Great Plains Industrial Park. Many in our community were not given a vote or a voice in this decision, and we believe it is crucial to inform and educate the public about the potential risks and impacts of this project.
Our group is dedicated to raising awareness and providing accurate information to our neighbors. The funds we raise will go directly toward organizing outreach events, creating educational materials, seeking legal support, and consulting with experts. These efforts are essential to ensure that everyone in Labette County and the surrounding areas understands what is at stake and has the resources to make their voices heard.
Labette County is home to generations of hardworking families who care deeply about their land and their future. My family has lived here for six generations, and we cherish this area of the country. We do not want to be forced to leave our homes if there is an accident or if our water becomes contaminated. Your support will help us protect our community, our environment, and our way of life. Please join us in standing up for Labette County—every donation makes a difference.
