Help The Pradiya Foundation Respond to the Flood Disaster in Northern Nepal - 

I’m Rachel, from the United States, and I have been a supporter and board member of The Pradiya Foundation for the past several years. I have seen firsthand the love, dedication, and compassion that Pradiya brings to children in Nepal. Today, I’m reaching out because their community is facing a devastating situation, and they need our help. 

On August 26, 2026, devastating flooding struck Northern Nepal, leaving families and communities facing an immediate crisis. Homes and livelihoods have been affected, and many people are struggling to access food, medical care, and other basic necessities. Children and families who were already vulnerable are now facing even greater uncertainty. The children at Pradiya are safe, but the Foundation cannot stand by while people around them are suffering. Pradiya has immediately begun working with local police and government officials to provide emergency medical assistance and food rations to neighbors who are in urgent need. Pradiya is doing everything that they can to help people through the immediate crisis, while also preparing to care for vulnerable children who may be left without safe support. 

When severe flooding has happened in the past, Pradiya has opened its doors to children who were directly affected. They expect that they may once again receive children who have lost parents, been separated from their families, or no longer have a safe place to stay because of this disaster. Your support will help Pradiya provide emergency food, medical assistance, essential supplies, and support for families affected by the flooding. It will also help provide care and a safe home for children who may need to come into Pradiya’s care. The Pradiya Foundation has always been about giving children more than just a place to live.

In Oda, Nepal, Pradiya provides children with a loving home, quality education, healthcare, and opportunities to learn through sustainable agriculture. The goal is to give each child the stability, care, and education they need to build a better future. Right now, that commitment is extending beyond the children who already live at Pradiya. The Foundation is reaching out to help families and children in the surrounding community who have been affected by this disaster.
