Support PPB K9 Officer's Family After Fire
Donation protected
This GoFundMe is the official donation page for our dedicated PPB K9 Officer, his family, and their K9 partner, who lost their home in a devastating fire. It is organized by the K9 Unit within the Portland Police Bureau (PPB) and Family Peer Support.
On January 28th, Clark County Fire District 13 was dispatched to a residential fire that began in the garage and quickly spread into the main structure of the home. Responding units included Engine 51, Engine 52, and Chief 52, with additional aid from Clark County Fire Districts 10 and 3. As the situation escalated, Chief 52 observed a fully involved garage fire extending to the second floor and endangering a parked RV. Firefighters promptly deployed hoselines, with North Country EMS on standby and a water supply established from a nearby hydrant. Thanks to the swift, coordinated response—which included 6 engines, 2 battalion chiefs, 1 ambulance, 1 rescue unit, 17 firefighters, and 3 EMS personnel—all occupants were safely evacuated with no injuries reported.
This officer, his wife—an East Clark County elementary school teacher—and their four children are now facing the overwhelming task of rebuilding their lives from scratch. While we are incredibly grateful that everyone made it out safely, they urgently need support to replace essential belongings lost in the fire and begin the long process of starting over.
This fundraiser has been created to help offset the costs of replacing essential belongings that were lost, with all funds raised donated directly to assisting this PPB Officer and his family as they rebuild.
