HIM: Episode One!
Raising Awareness Against Domestic Violence/ Intimate Partner Violence (IPV)
Hi everyone,
My name is Stephanie Richards Lawrence, and I’m the writer, director, and creator of HIM: Episode One. After years of hard work, we’ve officially wrapped filming, and I couldn’t be more excited about what we’ve created. Now, we need your help to cross the finish line!
We’re raising funds for the crucial post-production phase, which includes:
Editing – Polishing every scene to perfection.
Color Grading – Giving the film its distinct, cinematic look.
Sound Design – Bringing the story to life with rich, immersive audio.
Promotion & Distribution – Ensuring the film reaches the audience it deserves.
This project has been a labor of love, and with your support, we can turn this dream into reality. Every contribution—big or small—makes a difference. Sharing this page is another powerful way to help.
Thank you for believing in independent film and the power of storytelling. Let’s make HIM: Episode One unforgettable!

The Issue: Domestic Violence
Domestic violence extends far beyond physical assault, encompassing emotional manipulation, isolation from loved ones, and financial control. Victims often find themselves trapped in a relentless cycle of abuse that can span years, even decades, with devastating consequences—including loss of life. According to the Emory School of Medicine, in the United States, intimate partner violence (IPV) results in nearly 1,300 deaths each year. Almost 5.3 million incidents of IPV occur each year among U.S. women aged 18 and older.
This film weaves the stories of countless survivors into a single, powerful character, shining a light on the silent struggles many endure and the resilience it takes to break free. It’s not just a story of suffering but one of courage, survival, and hope.
