My name is Chasyn Carter & I'm a resident of Durham, NC. On 11/17/2025 , driving straight on my normal route to work (down Guess Road, not in an intersection) , a school bus full of students pulled out in front of me attempting to turn left across two lanes causing a car accident that's left the front of my car completely demolished. Everyone involved was physically fine at the time, but my car was declared a total loss at the scene & no fault was determined by police.

I have been unemployed for the past three months & just got a new job located in Morrisville which is approximately 30-35mins from my house. In order to keep my job especially after missing two days from being in the accident, I've had to spend all my money and borrow money to be able to afford rental cars to be able to travel to and from including work, regular errands & seeing my family in South Carolina for the holidays which I desperately need for my mental health. I also have had to find time and money for urgent care visits, orthopedic visits & chiropractor visits around working hours since my should, neck, back and finger are in constant pain with minimal health insurance. I also need a down payment for a new car & support adding another bill to my budget as my car was paid off.

I'm trying to raise $4,000 to offset lost wages, rental car costs, December bills, a down payment for a new car & first car payment .
