Support Po's Urgent Treatment for FIP

Donation protected
I’d like to introduce you to our newest family member, Po, the Dragon Warrior. Yup, our youngest son named him after the Kung Fu Panda… def seems fitting with all his cuddles & now needing to be a warrior to fight FIP.

We went to the doctor for our first checkup & next set of shots, everything was great, then I noticed he had some thinning spots of hair here & there. Come to find out our little boy had ring worm & since it was so close to his eye & they didn’t want his big brother “cleaning” his meds off him so they gave us oral pills (this was fun ). Of course ring worm is contagious so his big brother starts losing his fur too, surprise family vet visits.

It’s been a little more than a week, and our sweet little boy is so cuddly, climbs in your neck purring and always suckling on the blankies, it’s the cutest thing (minus the little wet spots, lol) he’s so talkative with his cute little cracky meow, we love him so much with all his personality. (Tuxedo’s are the best kitties, though, I may be partial since I’m a mommy of two)

We’ve noticed he’s not really eating as much as he was, he is a little on the skinny side but he has gotten a little taller and isn’t playing as much so maybe it’s the meds, he has his follow up next week so we’re just watching. Now, he starts getting diarrhea & really isn’t eating much but this may be my fault cause they didn’t have the Fancy Feast pate kitten food so I grabbed the grilled kind… same brand just different type but our vet said this could easily be the cause and to continue watching him. We go to his followup and the dr said he’s def on the skinny side to try and get him to eat more but otherwise he seems healthy, we do his final set of shots and she says to bring him back and have his weight checked again next week.

The rescue we adopted him from checks on him from time to time, so I tell her how he’s doing & she asks me to call her, 2 of the kittens from his liter have been diagnosed with FIP and another has passed away from suspected FIP. So of course now i’m scared that these cute cuddles, suckling, his laid back attitude, lack of appetite, diarrhea and his cute baby meow are now all signs of dry FIP.

We’re on day 4 of our treatment journey & he’s already showing so much improvement he’s no longer losing weight and actually gained 5 ounces! He’s eating a little here & there & even playing a “little” with his big brother Mister Kitty.

I’m so grateful for this treatment, the support from everyone so far & we’re praying for a speedy recovery for our little guy

Now to why I’ve shared our story, the vet visits, medication, injection materials, extra vitamins & treats are a lot to manage financially. We’re asking for your help to give our little boy the long life he deserves. If you’re unable to donate maybe you could share our story for others to help. This treatment is 84 days of injections, several vet visits, lab draws and another 84 days of observations and more lab work.

Thank you for your time, prayers and helping us along this journey.
