If you know Portia, you know she’s a fighter. As a dedicated entrepreneur and hairstylist in the Atlanta and DeKalb County area, she has built her business with passion, serving her clients with care and uplifting everyone around her. Now, she needs our collective support.

On Saturday, February 8, 2025, Portia suffered two strokes and multiple blood clots—a devastating and unexpected health crisis. By God’s grace, she is still with us, but the road to recovery is long. She must undergo three months of physical therapy, which means she will not be able to work during this time.

Beyond her own recovery, Portia is also a loving mother to Judiah, Khalid, and Jasiya, who depend on her care and support. While she heals, she needs help ensuring stability for her family—covering rent, utilities, food, and basic living expenses. Additionally, she is navigating the process of applying for disability and social security assistance, and we are seeking resources to help advocate for her.
