Hi everyone, I’m Porter’s mom and last night we noticed his lower tooth protruding over his upper lip. So far he still seems to be eating, just looking very sad and uncomfortable. I’ve called the vet and they gave me an appointment for this upcoming Monday but did mention an extraction with sedation and medication could cost up to $3000 which of course we don’t have. We are doing what we can to figure out the costs but are asking for help to have this taken care of before it gets any worse. We appreciate any help or kind words and just want to get our Porter the help he needs as soon as possible.

UPDATE 4/21: I took Porter to his appointment and he was able to get his tooth removed but unfortunately they found something under his gums that they needed to take a biopsy of. They suspect possible cancer but can’t send the specimen out to pathology until we are able to pay for it. I’m heartbroken that helping Porter ultimately comes down to money we don’t have and I’m at a loss and just flat out sad. Will keep updating as we learn more. But for now, I’m taking him home and giving him all the love he deserves.
