I am Porsche Williams and I am a heart failure patient. I was diagnosed in 2023.

On January 29, I went to the emergency room for what we thought was a simple virus; however, within a matter of 1 month i was added to the heart transplant list and on Monday February 24th i received my new heart. I was transported to a transplant hospital 3 hours from my home. I am needing assistance with after transplant care, out-of-pocket expenses, cardiovascular rehab, lodging for after heart transplant surgery because I cannot leave the area for 8 weeks post-op, as well as day-to-day needs. All of this was completely unexpected for me and my family, but every day I am choosing to fight to stay alive. I want a better quality of life.
